Tuesday Project

My tuesday project, working on pictures. i just can't seem to get this new workflow down on this new computer. Still trying to learn the ins and outs and it isn't going too well. Hence, the reason I am over 2 months behind on my blog.

DVR

  When we got home we were way behind on all our DVR shows. It will take us all week to get caught up.

Going Home

Brian waiting at the train stop to go back to the airport to go home. It was a great week. Already looking forward to next years conference in Atlantic City, NJ.

Yaquina Head Lighthouse

We took out early to go over to the coast and drive down the coast as far as we ould get before it got dark. We wanted to see as many lighthouses as we could. This is the 3rd one we saw and it is the Yaquina Head Light. It pretty much poured all day long so thats the reason for the foggy look in the picture. We saw a total of 5 lighthouses.

Multnomah Falls

Brian took the afternoon off from his conference and we took out to see the waterfalls. We saw 5 of them but this was the biggest. It was Multnomah Falls. The total height of the waterfall is 620 feet. Of course it rained off and on but it didn't keep us from getting out walking around.

Door Art

These doors were all attached to each other and they were around two sides of this empty lot that was between two buildings. Of course we had to go investigate and see what was behind these doors. It was a homeless camp. Pretty clever way to hide the lot if you ask me. It was colorful anyway. Portland has lots and lots of homeless downtown.

Fabulous Brownie

I met Brian at the convention center and we went to lunch downtown. After we ate we were walking around for a little bit and came across this bakery. I bought one of these and it was delicious. Probably the best brownie I have eaten.

Train Stop

This is looking out our room at the train stop. It was so handy to catch the train to go downtown, or anywhere else we wanted to go.

Fall in Portland

Happy 5th birthday Jentry.

This was the view outside the windows on the 12th floor of our hotel. The color was so pretty.

Voodoo Donuts

On Sat. after we arrived we went downtown to check things out. We kept seeing people carrying these pink Voodoo donut boxes. Everywhere we turned there was someone else with a box. As much as I love donuts I knew we had to find the place. So, Sunday morning we took the train back downtown and found the donut store.

We were shocked to see the line outside. It started at the corner and and went half way down the building and back up to the front door. After about 40 minutes we were finally inside the front door. They had unique combinations for some donuts and even more unique names. One of the best sellers is the maple bar with bacon on top. We experienced it and it was a good donut but there wasn't any need to go back. I took some pictures of the donuts we got in their pink box but I thought this pictures represented the place the best.

Southwest Airlines

We flew to Portland Oregon for Brian's annual ICC conference.

Upwards Football

Noah and Carter both play Upwards football. They play on Friday nights and I let the end of the season sneak up on me so I took all the pictures on the last game. Sorry Carter but I picked this one for my project.

Legos

Kids were out of school again for parent teacher conferences so I kept them. I got down on the floor while they were all playing legos and this was my favorite. They love building with the legos as much as their Dad did when he was little. Actually, he still does like them and still builds with them.

Medicating

Started getting a head cold and started doctoring it right away. Can't stand the taste of this stuff but it does work.

This is a tree out our back door in the neighbors yard. Love the colors.

Silhouette of Gage

Happy 30th Birthday to Caleb. And no this isn't Caleb. Amy had us all out for dinner a few days earlier for his birthday but I didn't get any good pictures of Caleb. This kids were at our house and I tried to get a silhouette but it didn't turn out very good. Gage looks blurry.

Bonner Springs Fire Station

The fire station in Bonner Springs was having an open house. We were keeping Nick and Jenn's kids so we took them up there to have something to do. They got to do the fire hose and take a ride in the fire truck.

Noah and Gage

I had all the kids today because there wasn't any school. This was how Noah and Gage were watching TV. Guessing Gage was either tired or sleepy because that is the only time he sucks his fingers.

Molly Taking Photos

After I took my one on one lesson at Apple to learn how to use my computer ( well, at least how to turn it on) I met up with Molly. We went out to Lake Olathe to do some shooting. It was overcast and the colors didn't show up as well as I had hoped.

Thick Hand Lotion

Its that time of year. My hands are already drying out and cracking so its time to get the thick hand cream out and leave it on my desk at work.

Jentry Reading at Barnes & Noble

 I only had Jentry this afternoon so her and I went to Oak Park. She got to ride the carousel and we spent some time reading books at Barnes and Noble. I love it that my grandkids love books.

Horseback Riding Again

 I went to Bonner Springs when I got off work and met Dick and Brian to ride horses. It was a great evening to ride. The weather was perfect and we saw lots of deer while riding. This is Dick, the owner of the horses.

Apple Store

 Brian and I went to the Plaza to the Apple store and FINALLY bought a new computer. We got an iMac. Hope I can figure out how to use it. One thing for sure, the pictures look 100% better on the new computer.

Stocking Progress

Spent pretty much the whole day in front of the TV watching college football and stitching. I feel like this is a good start on the stocking.

Brooklynne at the Doctor

Nick and Jenn both had to work and Brooklynne is still sick so I took her to her Dr.'s appointment. They gave her an antibiotic for an ear infection.

New Photo Book

 Finally got Maesyn's newborn photo book finished and it came in the mail.

Shaun

Tonight we went out with Shaun again. He wanted to go to some of his favorite eating places that he had while he lived here. Tonight we ate at Wil Jennys. I took this picture when we were leaving the restaurant in the weeds by the front door.

"Ooops"

I consider this my first big mess-up with my 365 project. I have taken my pictures everyday BUT the one I took this night, I accidentally erased while going through the pictures on my camera. Just as soon as I hit delete I knew what I had done.

Shuan was back in town for his job and we went out to dinner with him. We went to Mannys downtown and then walked around for awhile. It was a good close-up picture of him while we were eating.

The only thing I could think to do was to make this sign and take a picture of it for the replacement.

Maesyn's Christmas Stocking
